My husband and I have been residents of Farmers Branch since 2009, sharing our home with our three wonderful daughters who are at different stages of their academic journey – one in elementary, one in middle, and one in high school (in Fall 2024). Since my oldest daughter's kindergarten days, I have been actively engaged in volunteering through PTA and various school events. Currently, I am honored to serve on the boards of three PTAs within our district. These roles have not only allowed me to connect with numerous families, students, and educators, but also enabled me to gain valuable insights into their challenges, accomplishments, and priorities for success. As a parent deeply invested in our district's educational system, I strongly believe that this first-hand experience equips me with a unique perspective on the practical functioning of communication, policies, and funding at the grassroots level of our schools.
